FINAL EXAM DATES

Final exams for high school students will be on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29. As a reminder, any vacations requested during these days will not be approved due to falling within the last five days of the grading period.

CAMP & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

See the link below for any summer camp & summer volunteer opportunities that have been sent to the guidance department - this is not an exhaustive list of everything available this year, but some ideas for students who are interested. Whenever new opportunities arise, they will be added to this page: Summer Camp & Volunteer Opportunities

JUNE ACT REGISTRATION

Those students wanting to take the ACT on June 13th need to register by this Friday, May 8th.  There are a couple of different testing options.  The default is only ELA and Math.  We suggest that students take the Science as well (We administer the Science when students take it their Junior year, and our CCP Chemistry class uses the Science score for placement into that course.).  Please let Ms. Staggs know if you have any questions.  www.actstudent.org

QUICK TIPS FOR TEENS

Eating dinner earlier in the evening can help children develop healthier sleep habits and improve overall wellness. Giving the body time to fully digest before bedtime allows it to focus on rest and recovery during the night. Eating too close to bedtime can raise body temperature and disrupt the release of important growth hormones that support physical development, muscle recovery, and quality sleep. Encouraging families to eat dinner earlier when possible may help students feel more rested, focused, and ready to learn each day.
