CCP and the ACT

Students who are planning on taking CCP classes for the first time next school year will want to take the December ACT.  The registration deadline is next Friday, November 6th and students can register at www.act.org  ACT score requirements for college classes can be found on the guidance website.  Please let Ms. Staggs know if you have any questions.  

SIGNS OF SUICIDE

Anazao will be presenting a program on Depression and Suicide Prevention using the research based program Signs of Suicide on 11/2-3 for Mrs. Carr classes, 11/9-10 for Mrs. Marty’s classes and 11/16-17 for Mr. Meech’s classes.  This is a state required component for all schools.  A letter was sent to parents through ParentSquare with resources related to the topic for what your child will be learning.  If you have questions or concerns, please call Ms. Staggs at ext. 3209.

VETERAN’S DAY ASSEMBLY

Our K–12 Veterans Day Assembly will be held on Friday, November 6. All SHS students should arrive at school at their regularly scheduled time so that attendance can be taken before students leave for the breakfast or assembly.


Families planning to attend the 8:00 a.m. Veterans Day Breakfast are asked to use the link Mr. Heppe and the FFA posted to RSVP in advance and include any students who will be attending with them. RSVP closes on Wednesday, Nov. 4th. Students participating in the breakfast will be dismissed to the event at 8:00 a.m.

All SHS students will attend the Veterans Day Assembly at 9:00 a.m.

We look forward to coming together as a school community, wearing red, white and blue, to honor and recognize the veterans who have served our country!
